Vineyard Roasted Garlic
There are over 450 varieties of garlic derived from the lily family.
10 whole bulbs of garlic
5 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
Cut the top of the bulbs of garlic to reveal the raw garlic, approximately ½ inch. Place the bulbs in a pie pan. Pour the olive oil over the tops the garlic bulbs. Cover with aluminum foil and roast in a 350 degree oven for 30 minutes. Remove the pan from the oven, remove foil, pour the oil into a container for later use. Save the olive oil for flavoring veggies. Carefully squeeze the bulbs to expel the roasted garlic into a soup bowl.
