Hershey Bar Cake

8 Plain milk chocolate Hershey bars (7/8 oz. Size)

1/4 tsp salt

2 sticks butter or margarine

1/4 tsp soda

2 cups sugar

1 cup buttermilk

4 eggs

2 tsp vanilla

2-1/2 cups plain flour (sifted)

2 cups chopped nuts


Preheat oven to 325 degrees

Soften Hershey bars until limp -- not runny, and soften butter. Cream together.  Add sugar.

Add eggs (one at a time).  Add dry ingredients alternately with buttermilk, saving about a tablespoon of flour to dredge nuts.

Bake in greased and floured tube pan for about 70 minutes or until done.
