Family Fudge

Description

Mom always cuts the fudge into 30 pieces.

Ingredients

At a glance

Unsalted Butter, to grease pan
2 cups sugar
2/3 cup evaporated milk
12 marshmallows
½ cup unsalted butter, melted
pinch kosher salt
1 cup semi sweet chocolate
1 cup walnuts toasted
1 teaspoon vanilla

Methods/steps

Butter a 8 x 8 inch pan.  In a large saucepan combine the sugar, evaporated milk, marshmallows and melted butter.  Bring this mixture to a boil add the pinch of salt. Cook while stirring for 5 minutes, remove from heat add chocolate and stir until melted.  Add nuts and vanilla stirring to combine.  Pour into the buttered pan to cool.
