ACF Members Contest 2009

The Chef’s Wife cooking/talk show, in association with the American Culinary Federation, is proud to announce the winners of its first annual CW/ACF Best Recipe Contest. Chef Bradley Labarre (CEC, Cabarrus Country Club, Concord, NC) took First Place with a mouthwatering recipe for Roasted Butternut Squash Soup with Creme Fraiche.
This masterpiece was inspired by his birth month of November and the hearty, comforting soups he enjoyed growing up in New Hampshire. Second Place was captured by Chef David Schneider (Executive Chef, Virginia Wesleyan College) for the delectable classic Grilled Ham and Cheese inspired by his birth month of October.
Chef Mark Bole (Executive Chef, Swab Enterprises) was honored with Third Place for his delightfully inventive Chocolate Bread Pudding with Peanut Butter Sauce. He created this wonderful dish because his birth month of October is when World Bread Day is held and because bread is traditionally symbolic of Oktoberfest.
It was difficult to choose from among all the outstanding and creative submissions which were received but it was also a privilege to experience the best that the high-profile culinarians of the ACF have to offer. Thank you to everyone who participated!
We look forward to sharing all our future contests and future accomplishments with you at www.chefs-wife.com.
